Prend ma sauce

 

During Festival Art Contexte 2013, I organised a buffet journey on the topic of food choices we make everyday and that are based on family traditions, social pressure, and personal convictions. The spectator-participant was offered a plate of food and walked towards 3 desks where 3 chefs fought against one another to offer the visitor their own recipe of spaghetti sauce. Later in the process, the visitor could choose food from a buffet table while people, whose head only came out in between the dishes, stared at them. Maryline Chery and Raphael Lafleur were performing as the chefs, Kathleen Hodeige and Myriam Lafortune were cooking. Most of the buffet presented was organised strangely.
